The Qasida Muhammadiyya is an ode praising the august qualities of the Prophet Muhammad, Allah bless and grant him peace. The ode was written by Imam Sharaf al-Din al-Busiri, Allah sanctify his secret, famous for his "Ode of the Mantle", Qasida al-Burda.

This Manaqib production contains a 16-page colour booklet with the Arabic text, English translation and transliteration of the Qasida Muhammadiyya. The audio consists of a long version of the ode sung in three tunes with three choruses and a short version with one tune and one chorus throughout.

Breezes of Paradise was compiled for children and beginners ar Arabic to have access to the nashid tradition. The nashids selected are heard throughout the Islamic world and the rendition presented is authentic in selection and perforamance. The collection is accompanied by a book with full vowel sounds for the non-Arabic speaker so that the nashids will be sung as in the days before recording.

An audio CD is included as a learning tool and the recordings are clear and unaccompanied to ensure that words can be heard clearly. Sheikh Salah al-Kurdi performs nine nashids and the Asma al-Husna are sung on the traditional tune on the last track by Ahmed and Khalid Muzarza'.

Most of the traditional maqams are represented in the nashids chosen, so they can be used as 'keys' to learning to recite the Qur'an or ballads in the maqam suiting the humour of the gathering or Qur'anic selection.

This selection of anashid has been made child-friendly, but not childish. From the anashid one might term classical, they are of the first priority, have memorable melodies, and are not overly complex. They are a second step up from the first collection, Breezes from Paradise Vol. 1.

The anashid are ordered according to the ease children normally find in learning them. They can be and have been learned by primary aged children and yet carry and reveal they value in adulthood. They are a good place to begin in to lay the foundation of an Islamic personality rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah, branching into the forms of knowledge, and bearing fruit in the expressions of faith in Islamic societies.

It is hoped that in a day when few are able to access the roots or branches, that these anashid will give life and nur (spiritual light) to the heart, make Islam real for the listeners, and provide alternatives to the music of the day which becomes 'popular' by rousing base attributes shared by all humans.

This is a book compilation of 17 exquisite qasa id (Muslim Arabic poetry) with English-facing translation, metered to the original Arabic tune. The collection includes: Rawhun wa Rayhan, Wa min 'Ajabil, Ya Habibi Tala Shawqi, Ya Habib al Qulub and Mali Siwaq.
